We are not romantics. We don't wax eloquent about stone. We go about most of our days simply stacking one brick on top of another. And we do it very well. But the building blocks we get excited about are the ones that lead to good relationships.
- Honesty
- Competitive Pricing
- On Time
- Hard Work
- Quality Control
It's not flashy stuff. It's common sense. But its hard to do.
As a service oriented company our client is king! We make it our business to address their needs, their concerns and their style. We protect our clients by exposing any flaws we might see in the planning early. We talk about challenges and risks ahead of time rather than just moving ahead and trying to charge for the needed changes later. Our aim is to work right the first time and not gouge our clients with changes late in the project.
We make sure we don't take on a job where we won't be able to service every part of the client needs with quality work.
All our staff are true professionals. We only hire people with both strong skill and strong character. We make our employees aware of both our clients' needs and personality to ensure that our presence on the job site is in alignment with our clients' values. This alignment is reflected in how we speak, how we dress, and how we show up for work.
Our job is to lay bricks. But at the end of the day, we're building relationships.

Service Area
We help build communities all over southern Ontario and the Golden Horseshoe from Hamilton to Halton and from London to Welland. Crews are able to mobilize beyond this area to suit project needs.
Our History
GAC Masonry now employs base staff and crews of full time employees along with large seasonal crews able to service large residential subdivision developments as well as mid rises, infrastructure, commercial and singular custom projects.
After some years in the trade, Greg Czekaj started the business in 2002. GAC Masonry was built from the ground up, one brick at a time you might say, and succeed in creating a reputable name in southern Ontario.
With eyes on growth they opened a full time office and yard to expand their capacity for work.
In 2012, Michelle Czekaj resigned from her career to support the company full time.
They attribute their success to the extreme work ethic, and reliable character of their workforce.
What our customers are saying…
-
I had the pleasure of working with Greg Czekaj on the construction of a brand new water treatment facility; low lift station and intake structure. I can recommend him highly and without reservation.
Throughout the course of construction, Mr. Czekaj was a thorough professional. Our job was done with care and precision. He has a highly skilled team and retains a high degree of quality and expects nothing less but near perfection from his workers.
Mr. Czekaj's excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills and commitment to follow-through are assets which enabled him to juggle the extensive details involved in our project without any lost time or quality.
I am very pleased with the final product which Greg was instrumental in delivering and I am extremely impressed with his work as a masonry subcontractor. I have been a project manager for over 5 years and in construction for 10, and I believe that exceptional work should be recognized.

My company has been in business building high end custom homes for 27 years.
I started using GAC Masonry aprox 5 years ago and have been extremely happy with their work. Greg and his crew are very good at preparing and laying natural stone.
I have also had Greg do brick on a number of projects, with 100% satisfaction.
I have found Greg to be very approachable and appreciate that he is on the job all the time. He is always punctual in returning my phone calls, texts and emails. My clients too, have expressed to me their appreciation of Greg’s company for their professionalism and the quality of the work.
I intend to use Greg Czekaj and GAC Masonry for many years to come.

GAC completed all brickwork for eight Habitat homes built on Niagara Street in Hamilton from 2009 through 2012, and Habitat for Humanity Hamilton is delighted to provide a reference for GAC Masonry.
The GAC team produced very high quality work, and was extremely professional throughout the process. GAC consistently delivered on time, and always maintained the cleanliness of the job site. GAC staff is very friendly and courteous, and as a result they worked quite well with our large base of volunteers.
...we look forward to working with Greg and the GAC Masonry team in the future.
